CBC Strengthens Ties with the Indian Visionary Industry Leaders: Meeting Waaree Group, Vision Mechatronics, Premiere Energies, and Evolve Energy Group

The Clean Business Club (CBC) delegation has embarked on a high-impact visit to India, engaging with some of the nation’s most influential solar and cleantech industry leaders. This visit underscores CBC’s commitment to deepening its presence in India, forging strategic alliances, and driving innovation in solar energy, battery storage, and clean hydrogen solutions.

Waaree Group: A Pioneer in India’s Solar Revolution

The delegation's first stop was Waaree Group, India’s largest solar panel manufacturer, which has played a pivotal role in the nation’s renewable energy expansion. Led by Dr. Hitesh Doshi, Chairman of Waaree Group, who also serves as CBC Chair for India and CBC Co-Chair for Asia, the company has been at the forefront of India's solar energy growth. Recently, Waaree made headlines by successfully entering the stock exchange, achieving a multibillion-dollar market valuation, a testament to the growing confidence in India’s solar and cleantech industry.

Vision Mechatronics: India’s Battery Storage and Energy Automation Leader

At the forefront of energy storage solutions is Vision Mechatronics, founded by Dr. Rashi Gupta, also known as “Batterywali” for her groundbreaking contributions to the battery and energy storage sector. As the CBC Chair of StorageVersity Hub and Chair of the Empowering Women Hub, Dr. Gupta has led the company in pioneering advanced lithium battery technologies and automation systems that enhance India's transition towards energy independence and resilience. Vision Mechatronics continues to innovate in energy storage and smart grid solutions, solidifying its position as a leader in India’s renewable energy landscape.

Premiere Energies: Carrying Forward a Legacy in Solar Manufacturing

In Hyderabad, the CBC team engaged with Premiere Energies, one of India’s oldest and most respected solar companies. Founded by Suronder Saluja, the company is now led by his son, Chiranjeev Saluja, who has successfully taken the company to new heights. Premiere Energies recently entered the stock exchange, securing a multi-billion-dollar market valuation, reinforcing investor confidence in India’s solar industry. Evolve Energy Group: A New Partnership with CBC

In Chennai, the CBC delegation met with Rajesh Shah, Founder and Managing Director of Evolve Energy Group, a leading player in renewable energy solutions and sustainable power infrastructure. Mr. Shah has officially joined CBC as a Premium Member and has been appointed as Co-Chair of the CBC Maritime Industry Hub (In Charge of India). In this role, he will work closely with CBC Members and Partners to accelerate cleantech transformation in the maritime industry, leveraging India’s expanding expertise in solar, storage, and hydrogen solutions.

India’s Solar Market Reaches 100 GW Milestone

India has officially crossed the 100 GW solar capacity mark, positioning itself among the world’s leading solar power producers. This milestone reflects the Indian government’s strong policy support, including incentives for local manufacturing, production-linked incentives (PLI), and a push for self-reliance under the 'Make in India' initiative. The government is actively encouraging private investments and international collaborations to accelerate the clean energy transition and position India as a global leader in cleantech innovation.

The Future of Cleantech in India: Solar, Battery Storage, and Clean Hydrogen

With visionary leaders like Dr. Hitesh Doshi, Dr. Rashi Gupta, Chiranjeev Saluja, and Rajesh Shah, India is poised to lead the global transition towards sustainable energy.

These companies are not only driving solar expansion but are also actively seeking opportunities in battery storage, clean hydrogen, and smart grid technologies, which align with CBC’s key initiatives under the CBC Clean Hydrogen Hub and CBC StorageVersity Hub.

CBC’s Expanding Role in India’s Cleantech Ecosystem

As India solidifies its position as a global cleantech powerhouse, CBC is committed to expanding its presence, growing its membership, and scaling up its activities to support India’s renewable energy transformation. With pioneering industry leaders at the helm, the future of solar, cleantech, clean hydrogen, and clean water solutions in India has never looked brighter.
