Partnerships Insights and Collaborative Visions from CBC's Guest Participation at the Global Water Summit 2024
Last week at the Global Water Summit 2024 in London, the CleanTech Business Club (CBC) had the privilege of participating as guests alongside global leaders focused on advancing sustainable solutions. This event underscored the imperative for collaborative efforts to transform the water sector, aiming to elevate water management practices to not only be more efficient and sustainable but also highly desirable, akin to the revolution seen in the solar industry.
Strategic Collaborations to Enhance Appeal and Accelerate Transformation
1. Transition to a Clean Water Industry: Our vision involves transforming the current water industry into a clean water industry. This change is where CleanTech and hydrogen technologies play a pivotal role, offering innovative solutions that can significantly boost the sustainability and efficiency of water management.
2. Leveraging Multi-Trillion Dollar Ambitions: Each sector — CleanTech, water, and hydrogen — has vast multi-trillion investment ambitions. Through collaboration, these industries can pool their strengths and resources to accelerate the realization of these ambitions, propelling the global transformation toward sustainability and a regenerative future.
3. The Role of Advanced Technologies: By integrating advanced technologies from the CleanTech and hydrogen sectors, we can significantly enhance the water industry’s operations and attractiveness. These technologies are crucial for developing sustainable practices that transform water into a resource that is essential and appealing to investors and decision-makers.
4. Huge Opportunities in Green Desalination: One exciting example of where our collaboration can make a significant impact is in the field of green desalination. By harnessing renewable energy sources, we can reduce the environmental footprint of desalination processes, making this technology a cornerstone for sustainable water supply, especially in arid regions.
5. Collaboration with Industry Leaders: We are thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with Industry Leaders such as ACWA Power, a global leader in the energy and water sectors. These partnerships enhance our industry's capacity to implement cutting-edge solutions in green desalination and other areas, accelerating progress towards our shared goals.
6. Ensuring Universal Access to Clean Resources: Our collaborative focus extends to ensuring universal access to clean water and renewable energy, thereby enhancing global quality of life. This vision underscores our commitment to a sustainable future and highlights the water sector's critical role in achieving global environmental goals.
Reflecting on the discussions at the Global Water Summit 2024, the CleanTech Business Club is invigorated by the shared commitment to transformative change. This enthusiasm is further amplified by our upcoming initiatives, including the Quo Vadis Green Hydrogen and StorageVersity Joint Roadmaps.
Additionally, we are eagerly anticipating two landmark events to be held in Shanghai this year: the 1st World CleanTech, Hydrogen & Water R&D and Industry Council (at SNEC PV in June 2024), and the 1st Global Joint CBC & SNEC Forum: 'CleanTech, Hydrogen & Water Industry Leaders Driving the World’s Transformation Together.' (at SNEC H2 & ES in September 2024).
Both events, powered by ACWA Power and strategically partnered with the CleanTech Business Club and the New Energy Industry Association for Asia and the Pacific (representing SNEC), mark the commencement of an unprecedented global collaboration among leaders from these three critical sectors. #TogetherWeAreStronger"
Last but not least, the establishment of the CBC Clean Water Hub marks our dedication to supporting water industry leaders and stakeholders in adopting clean water solutions. By promoting and implementing these innovative practices, we aim to make the water sector appealing and accessible, thus inspiring a broader movement towards sustainability.
We look forward to continuing our work with all stakeholders, including our partners like ACWA Power, to transform the water sector. Together, our collective efforts can lead to significant outcomes that not only benefit our industries but also contribute to the health and sustainability of our planet. #TogetherWeAreStronger
Finally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to ACWA Power Colleagues for bringing us to London, and congratulations to the Global Water Summit team for organizing such a remarkable event.
We eagerly anticipate expanding our involvement at the summit in 2025.
